Iran's top leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has been ousted and replaced by another senior official, following a wave of assassinations of senior officials in the country that keep sleep out of the regime, Iranian opposition news site Iran International reported on Saturday.
According to the report, Hassan Mishhar Fahar replaced senior Revolutionary Guards officer Ibrahim Jabari, led by the force, who is considered the most important security unit for the regime in Tehran.

According to reports, elements within the Revolutionary Guards are outraged at the continuous failures of the organization's intelligence department, including "embarrassing" operations abroad and failure to warn of an intention to eliminate its senior officials.
The information obtained by the news site indicates that the removal of Hussein Tayeb from the Revolutionary Guards intelligence organization is the result of years of strained relations between several senior security officials who now want to clear the ranks of the intelligence organization and dismantle it completely.
According to information obtained by the news site, Ismail Keni, commander of the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guards, and Ismail Khatib, Minister of Intelligence, are among Tayeb's most senior opponents and have long waited for an opportunity to act to oust him.
From this information it appears that Tayeb's opponents repeatedly claimed that the organization under his leadership did not fulfill its tasks and did not adhere to its authority.
